GMC Yukon AT4 2024 Colors, Interior, Changes – GM’s Yukon has been the ultimate full-size SUV for many years. For a good reason, people prefer the GMC Yukon above its Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade corporate relatives. The Escalade is too flashy for some people, while the Tahoe is too simple. The Yukon provides them with the perfect balance of opulence and grandeur without going overboard. A Yukon extended-length model, known as the Yukon XL, is offered and is effectively a more pricey Chevy Suburban and a less costly Escalade ESV.
A new Connected Infotainment System created in partnership with Google has improved interior technology. The opulent Denali now comes standard with the power-sliding center console that was formerly a choice. The only modification to the exterior is the addition of Redwood Metallic to the color scheme. The GMC Yukon gets a 12-inch digital instrument cluster throughout the lineup for the 2024 model year.

Regarding aesthetics, the most recent GMC Yukon outperforms the model it replaces. It has a more significant presence than before, mainly due to the more prominent grille and standout lighting. The base model only features 18-inch alloy wheels, whereas the other models in the series have bigger 20-inch ones. There are seven exterior color options for the Yukon SLE basic model. All the other hues are premium and come at an extra fee; Summit White is free. The metallic colors Pearl Beige, Midnight Blue, Satin Steel, and the recently introduced Redwood are all $495 in addition to Onyx Black. Cayenne Red Tintcoat is the most costly color, costing $645. While the AT4 loses Pearl Beige, the SLT gains White Frost Tricoat for $1,095 and all the other colors. On the other hand, the Denali adds the model-specific Hunter metallic for $495 while keeping all the SLT’s hues.
Interior
An interior technology update for 2024 adds a 12.0-inch digital gauge display and a new infotainment interface as standard equipment, giving the 2024 GMC Yukon a slight interior difference from its prior versions. The dashboard is coated with soft-touch material, and the interior materials are more premium. All of the controls and buttons have a chrome finish. The buttons are all properly situated, and the steering wheel is buttery smooth. Although the front seats have plenty of room, taller people may have trouble getting in and out of the car.
In three rows, the 2024 GMC Yukon has seating for eight passengers. There is 40% more room overall in the vehicle. Genuine leather seats are an upgrade from the usual cloth ones. Long drives are made quite pleasant by the chairs. The driver and the passenger can comfortably rest their arms on the wide armrest. Three adults might fit in the area at the rear. There is enough room for your kids in the third row, while the space for adults is a little less but still more significant than in most SUVs. In terms of the infotainment system, each GMC Yukon comes with a floating 10.2-inch infotainment display. The display is of high quality, and there is no screen glare problem, even in direct sunlight. On the screen are seven USB auxiliary ports and HD and satellite radio.
Engine
GMC chose to go with pure displacement and natural aspiration for the two V8s rather than downsizing and forced induction. These are well-known engines that are also in the Chevrolet Tahoe. The smaller 5.3-liter V8 generates 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, but you must rev it up to 4,100 rpm to reach that maximum torque level. The 6.2-liter V8’s greater 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque give it a distinct advantage off the line and overtaking maneuvers at higher speeds. Even though the 3.0-liter turbocharged Duramax inline-six only has 277 horsepower, it is known for its 460 lb-ft of torque, delivered at just 1,500 rpm.
Every Yukon comes with a smooth, responsive 10-speed automatic transmission, regardless of the engine option. Compared to the six-speeder utilized for the previous generation of Yukon, this gearbox does a far better job of maximizing the lower outputs of the smaller V8. Unfortunately, the oil burner, which would probably serve this trim the best because the torque kicks in early in the rpm range, cannot be installed in the AT4.
The Price and Release Date for the 2024 GMC Yukon
The GMC Yukon costs $52,100 MSRP for the SLE model with the 5.3-liter V8 engine and 2WD. The SLT has the same powertrain and motor for $58,900. A Duramax diesel engine substitution costs $845 more for the SLT and $895 more for the SLE. Add $3,000 to the cost if you want 4WD. Starting at $66,600, the AT4 is equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 and standard 4WD. You are choosing the 6.2-liter costs an extra $2,440. The top-tier Denali retails for $70,000 with 2WD, and a further $3,000 will be added for 4WD. The manufacturer does not specify the cost difference between the available engines on the fully equipped model. All of these costs do not include a $1,695 destination fee. A fully loaded Denali GMC Yukon could cost more than $95,000. The summer of 2024 is predicted to be the GMC Yukon’s debut date in the US.
