The vehicle comes with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The highest-tier Denali is equipped with a navigation system as standard, and lower versions provide this feature as an option. The Denali comes standard with a head-up display, while the SLT and AT4 may have one as an extra cost. However, rather than projecting the show onto the windshield as other GM cars do, Terrain’s system uses a pop-up screen on the top of the dashboard.
The only engine available for the 2024 GMC Terrain is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 that generates 173 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. For the 2024 model year, the 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine will no longer be available. All of the output from the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is sent to the front wheels via a 9-speed automated transmission. An all-wheel drive is also an alternative for the vehicle’s powertrain.
